That rhythmic thumping under the floor is getting worse

I'm starting to get really concerned about this noise that's been developing under my Wrangler over the past few weeks, and I'm worried I might be doing more damage every time I drive it. It started as a faint vibration that I barely noticed, but now it's evolved into this distinct rhythmic thumping or knocking sound that seems to be coming from somewhere underneath the middle of the vehicle, and it gets faster as I speed up which makes me think it's something rotational. The really strange part is that it seems to be most noticeable at lower speeds, like when I'm driving through residential areas at 40 to 50 km/h, but it sort of smooths out at higher highway speeds, although I can still feel a slight buzz through the floor even then. I've had a few people suggest it could be the driveshaft, maybe a worn u-joint or even the center bearing starting to fail, and honestly that kind of makes sense given the location and the nature of the noise.
